JB Revolution Kart
Twin Honda 160cc 4 stroke 5.5hp engines.
Noram 4000 series clutch - 12t - 428 chain - 41t split sprocket.
Hydraulic self-adjusting brake system.
Engine mounted standard fuel tanks.
Under chassis track rod option.
Alloy mono wheel rims with Kartline 'soft' tubeless tyres.

When we purchased the kart it had been stood for a while so the first job was to try and get her track worthy again.

With the Kart rebuilt it was once again ready for the track, although it looked much better, it was still lacking in power, so there were a number of engine mods we decided to carry out.

Our tuning guide can give you an idea of some of the changes we made to the Honda GX160 Engines.

Before the upgrades our Kart did a typical dry lap at our local track Amen corner in around 32.3 seconds. Once we had completed the modifications we had managed to reduce that time down to 31.1 seconds which was a major improvement, however, we knew that there was still more time to be had.

Lightness changes were made by removing the standard twin fuel tanks and replacing with a single unit and changing the seat for a much lighter one, however a chance discovery by one of the guys led us to the purchase of an Anderson chassis, far lighter than what we had on the kart and sure to reduce the lap times even further. Time for another strip down!
